REFLECTION
In this story, we can see the value of gratitude. The elephant repaid his kindness by rendering various services to the carpenters who healed his foot and saved his life. Even when the elephant was getting old, it brought his son, the pure white elephant to the carpenter as replacement.

Later, the white elephant was owned by the king and was well taken care of. After the king died, it bravely captured the rival king alive and saved the kingdom for the newborn prince.

Due to the mutual gratitude and appreciation between the elephants and humans, both parties had a good relationship for two generations; firstly with the carpenters’ families, and then with the royal family.
