    During the time of the Buddha, there lived a man named Cunda . For more than fifty-five years, he earned his living by slaughtering pigs. Day after day, his mind was filled with cruelty, harshness, and the defilements of anger and harm— yet he never realized that he was creating extremely heavy unwholesome kamma. When death approached and after his passing, he suffered the burning torment of the blazing hell-fire.

  na antalikkhe na samuddamajjhe, na pabbatānaṃ vivaraṃ pavissa; na vijjatī so jagatippadeso, yatthaṭṭhito mucceyya pāpakammā.
